This place is definitely one to visit on more than one occasion. Here's why: They have a DJ who plays while you're eating. The drinks are delicious and well poured. The service is exceptional and very helpful. The decor is chic and very inviting. I ordered the Paloma and it was so good. It wasn't too sweet and was similar to the color of a grapefruit. For an appetizer, I ordered the Hennessy wings and this is a 0/10 for me. Because the wings were the generic fried "wing dings" tossed in a sweet chili and Hennessy mixture. I didn't enjoy those at all. However, the presentation was really nice! They were served on a wood platter with a Hennessy dip on the side. For the main course, I ordered the Latin Style Fried Rice. Annnnd Babeeee! They surprised me. It was delightful. I enjoyed the authentic soy sauce flavor of the rice and fried chicken and pork chunks. But I didn't enjoy the fried runny egg on top for presentation. I quickly took that off.

The food was amazing, my waiter was great, and the ambience was a vibe. Try the Arroz Frito

Sangria Cage is close to my place of residence. I'm so happy the few times I've been service was great. Ambiance was perfect. They do have a DJ certain nights. The food is delicious. I enjoyed fried red snapper. Cooked to perfection

I ordered from DoorDash. The food was delicious. I got the fried snapper with pineapple coconut rice. The was fried and seasoned properly. The rice was fresh with small pineapple chunks. I could taste the coconut flavor not sure if it had coconut shavings.

First time trying this restaurant it was good the vibe was Dominican/hiphop music. The restaurant has a lot of space inside big seating area with a big bar also has outdoor seating. We got seated quickly. The waitress was nice she started us with our water and got our orders out like 15mins after appetizer. The appetizer was beef, chicken and cheese with spinach empanadas. The main dinner was good and was served with a lot of food. The branzino was only $28 and the mofongo was $38

Last night was a good bday celebration and good food great friends and good service. This restaurant is a good local spot, located in the confines of Co-op City. It's a combination of a sports bar and good food and service. I came during happy hour and I was not disappointed. I was told the drinks were good. Nice updated decor and spacious, numerous large screen tv's and nice restrooms. A good get-together spot, casual attire.

I came for an early morning brunch, and the restaurant was starting to gather a crowd. We were seated right away, and the waiter promptly gave us our menus where we decided to go with the brunch special, which was one appetizer one entrée and unlimited, mimosas, sangrias, or Bellini's all for $39.99 per person with 18%gratuity included. I ordered the empanadas as an appetizer, one beef and one spinach and cheese. They were both really good but the beef empanada was my favorite. For an entrée I ordered the steak and eggs, which came with home fries, but I substituted the home fries for rice and beans and had my eggs scrambled. To accompany my meal I got a peach Bellini when the food came out the presentation was very nice. Everything was cooked to perfection and flavored rather well. There was a garlic oil sauce on the side, which made the steak taste like heaven but wrecked havoc on my breath lol. As my time went on in the restaurant, it became more and more crowded, and the music got louder and louder. The vibe in the restaurant was very chill and laid-back and they were plenty of beautiful people and attendance. The weight staff was very prompt and friendly, and they kept the drinks coming. My favorite drink of the day was sangria but of course I tried them all multiple times. This was a really good experience and I would absolutely come here again. Definitely a nice chill spot not far from home with good vibes, good music and good food.

Randomly stopped in with some friends on a Sunday afternoon. As I perused the menu, I went to Yelp for an assist of what I previously ordered since I was so indecisive. Quickly I realized that I never did a review and remembered why. There is often too much going at once depending on the day and time you stop in. Case in point when we arrived, the music was blaring so loud I couldn't hear the hostess ask me where we would like to sit. Even the staff said the volume is often ridiculous. Thankfully, they decided to tone down the "club vibe" and we were able to hear our thoughts as we dined. Since I've been here before and have had varied experiences this review is about our wonderful waitress Iliana. She was great, she matched the vibe of our group. Her honesty and humor was appreciated. She was attentive and made very descriptive and definitive suggestions that helped a few of us undecided folks make choices that we were happy with. From drinks to dishes she didn't miss. Sangria Cafe is one of those places where you just have go at the right time depending on what your vibe is and of course we all know staff can make or break an experience in many situations and Ililana was appreciated. Just A Note: Iliana should get a raise!
